  • On August 7 at Truist Park, Sale threw 30 pitches in his first live batting practice since fracturing ribs and reported feeling no pain
  • Braves manager Brian Snitker confirmed Sale has had no setbacks through his catch play, long toss and bullpen progression
  • He will begin his rehab assignment with the Triple-A Gwinnett Stripers against the Louisville Bats in Gwinnett, Georgia
  • Sale fractured his sixth and seventh ribs diving for a ball on June 18 and was placed on the 60-day injured list retroactive to June 19
