Despite Past Failures, Rock Takes on Remake of Oscar-Winning Danish Film

Comedian Chris Rock is set to direct an English-language remake of the Danish film 'Another Round', originally directed by Thomas Vinterberg and starring Mads Mikkelsen.
The original film, which won the Oscar for Best International Feature Film, follows four high school teachers who decide to maintain a constant level of inebriation throughout their workday, based on a theory that a certain alcohol level boosts creativity and happiness.
Despite Rock's successful directorial ventures such as 'Top Five', 'Head of State', and 'I Think I Love My Wife', fans express concern over his ability to successfully remake 'Another Round', citing his past failure with the film 'Down to Earth'.
The remake of 'Another Round' is being produced by Appian Way and Makeready for Fifth Season, with Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Davisson, Brad Weston, and Collin Creighton as part of the production team.
There is no confirmed release date for the remake of 'Another Round' yet.
