• The Chiefs defensive tackle told reporters on Oct. 3 that his aunt Angela died of a heart attack while watching Kansas City’s Week 3 win over the Giants.
• Jones said he learned of her death after the game and called her a huge supporter who “meant a lot” to him.
• He shared that he lived with Angela for about five or six years and that they were very close.
• Jones attended her funeral in Mississippi the following Saturday and reached Arrowhead with roughly 45 minutes to spare before facing the Ravens.
