  • Lin Chin-Tse limited Summerlin South (Nev.) to one hit over five innings with four strikeouts, then delivered a bases-loaded triple for three RBIs in the fifth.
  • The championship is Taiwan’s 18th Little League World Series title, its first since 1996.
  • Nevada reached the final by winning the U.S. bracket 8-2 over Fairfield (Conn.), marking the state’s first appearance in the title game.
  • Chinese Taipei advanced from the International bracket with a 1-0 win over Aruba, led by Liu Wei-Heng’s 5.1 scoreless innings and seven strikeouts, with Chen Qi-Sheng closing.
  • Little League records will reflect the winner as “Chinese Taipei,” which the organization uses for Taiwan in international competition, spokesperson Kevin Fountain said.
