Chinese National Sentenced to 14 Years for Killing Two Sex Workers in Melbourne

Xiaozheng Lin, 24, could be released in seven years due to a plea deal and time served.

Xiaozheng Lin, a Chinese national, was sentenced for the manslaughter of Yuqi Luo and Hyun Sook Jeon in December 2022.
Lin's sentence was reduced from murder to manslaughter following a plea deal with prosecutors.
Justice Stephen Kaye described the crimes as 'callous' and stated the victims were 'vulnerable and defenceless.'
Lin has served nearly two years of his sentence and will be eligible for parole in 2031.
Upon release, Lin is expected to be deported back to China.
