Overview

  • Dream Factory opened May 28, 2025 at the Chinese Canadian Museum in Vancouver and will run through May 31, 2026.
  • The second-floor installation features vintage album art, glitzy music videos, handwritten scores and a theatrical stage by Ming Wong and Liam Morgan.
  • A Fashion Meets Music section spotlights designs by Chinese Canadian creators Charlotte Chang, Bev Huynh and Stephanie Kong.
  • Curators Dr. Melissa Karmen Lee, Yilin Chen and Bofei Zhang weave in icons like Anita Mui, Leslie Cheung, Faye Wong and Jacky Cheung to evoke the era’s energy.
  • New commissions by Ho Tam and the Bagua Artist Association join displays honoring behind-the-scenes contributors such as tailors, stylists and composer Joseph Koo.
