China’s EV SUV Push Accelerates as Zeekr 001 Begins Deliveries and Rivals Set Mid-October Launches

Fast-charge metrics plus extended range dominate this week’s SUV rollouts.

  • Zeekr began nationwide deliveries of the refreshed 001, starting at ¥269,800, with a 900V architecture, a claimed 10%–80% charge in as little as 7 minutes, and up to 810 km CLTC range.
  • Beijing Hyundai confirmed the EO pure-electric SUV will open pre-sales and start production on October 16 on the E-GMP platform with up to 722 km CLTC range and a stated 30%–80% fast charge in about 27 minutes.
  • Arcfox scheduled October 14 pre-sales for the Alpha T5 range-extender using CATL’s ‘Xiaoyao’ cells, quoting 215 km pure-electric range, 1,215 km combined range, and a 30%–80% charge in 15 minutes.
