Overall cross-border trips to and from China increased by 43.9% in 2024, with 610 million total entries and exits recorded by immigration authorities.
Authorities issued 2.6 million Chinese visas to foreign nationals and streamlined services for visa extensions, renewals, and reissuances.
The expanded visa policies are part of an 18-point government plan to boost consumption and support China's post-COVID economic recovery.
