Overview
- The State Administration of Radio and Television announced on Thursday that all AI-generated broadcast and online audiovisual programs must carry content labels, key production stages and finished programs must undergo human review, and aggressive 'AI 魔改' is banned.
- The NRTA said it will work with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and major operators to set technical standards that embed set-top functions as software inside televisions, with an initial plan to roll out tens of millions of integrated TVs starting in 2026 and phased upgrades for older sets.
- Officials reported existing public-service gains, saying about 1.13 million public-venue terminals and roughly 40.41 million rural users already have features like automatic live playback and no-startup ads, and that accessibility and elder-friendly services will expand during the '十五五' period.
