China Eastern to Restart ShanghaiDelhi Flights on Nov. 9 With Thrice-Weekly Service

The relaunch signals a broader reopening of India–China direct routes, with tickets available now.

  • China Eastern set the schedule for MU563/MU564, with MU563 leaving Shanghai at 12:50 p.m. and arriving in Delhi at 5:45 p.m., and MU564 departing Delhi at 7:55 p.m. and reaching Shanghai at 4:10 a.m. the next day.
  • Services will run on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays using Airbus A330-200 aircraft on the route.
  • Tickets are on sale, and InterGlobe Air Transport continues as China Eastern’s exclusive General Sales Agent in India, a role it has held since 2002.
  • The airline framed the restart as restoring its India network and supporting travel and trade between the two countries.
  • Parallel moves include IndiGo’s KolkataGuangzhou flights resuming Oct. 26 and a new daily DelhiGuangzhou service from Nov. 10 operated with A320 aircraft.
