Chimelong Deploys More Than 300 Robots at Zhuhai Space Park

A dedicated 5G-A network with centralized control is being used to study whether embodied AI can operate guest-facing services at scale.

Overview

  • AGIBOT and Chimelong, which launched the first operational phase on Friday, deployed more than 300 robots across Chimelong Spaceship Park in Zhuhai to work in shows, visitor services, retail and hotels.
  • Robots perform theatrical routines and interactive activities such as martial arts, tai chi and table tennis while other units provide directions, answer questions and hold multi‑turn conversations in hotel lobbies.
  • The rollout runs over a dedicated 5G-A network provided with China Mobile and a centralized coordination system that manages navigation, connectivity, charging and cross‑site operation.
  • The partners describe the project as a testbed to refine backend systems for network security, privacy protection, charging logistics and fire safety and to measure reliability and staff intervention needs.
  • AGIBOT marked its 20,000th production robot during the launch and the companies plan a joint research institute to study operating models and the potential to scale robotics across Chimelong properties.
