Chihuahua Governor Welcomes Nine Scholars Bound for Washington D.C. Training

Governor Maru Campos held the orientation meeting ahead of the students’ imminent departure to gain professional experience in multinational settings

  • The Gobierno del Estado de Chihuahua awarded nine merit-based scholarships for the Formación Profesional de Corta Estancia en Washington D.C. – Generación 2025 program
  • Winners were chosen after meeting strict criteria, including a minimum GPA of 90, age between 20 and 30, advanced English proficiency and graduation within the last 12 months
  • Selected students represent institutions such as Tecnológico de Monterrey, Universidad Autónoma de Chihuahua, Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juárez, Universidad Tecnológica de Chihuahua, Instituto Tecnológico de Chihuahua and Universidad Tec Milenio
  • Participants will undertake short-term internships in companies, research centers and international organizations to foster strategic international alliances
  • Campos encouraged the cohort to develop their skills abroad and return to apply their new expertise to Chihuahua’s economic and social development
