Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce described the freezing conditions as 'shocking', and shared a story about a teammate who suffered burns from foot warmers. The player had worn two pairs of socks with foot warmers inside his shoes, resulting in two large blisters on his feet.
Despite the freezing conditions, fans filled the stadium to support their teams. The temperature was minus-4 degrees Fahrenheit at kickoff, with a wind chill of minus-27 degrees.
Taylor Swift, girlfriend of Travis Kelce, was among the spectators at the game. She was seen interacting with fans from her box seat window and even handed a winter scarf to a fan to keep warm.
