Chiefs Activate Nick Bolton from IR, Bryan Cook Placed on IR

Bolton returns in time for the final five games of the regular season as the Chiefs aim for their eighth straight AFC West title.

  • Kansas City Chiefs have activated linebacker Nick Bolton from injured reserve and placed safety Bryan Cook on IR.
  • Bolton, who had dislocated his wrist in a Week 7 win over the Los Angeles Chargers, returns in time for the final five games of the regular season as Kansas City aims to claim its eighth straight AFC West title.
  • Cook, the Chiefs' seventh leading tackler with 35, injured his ankle in last week's loss to the Green Bay Packers and will be replaced in the starting lineup by Mike Edwards.
  • Despite playing in only four games this season, Bolton is 10th on the Chiefs in tackles with 28.
  • The Chiefs have also ruled out three other regulars for the game against the Bills: running back Isiah Pacheco, offensive tackle Donovan Smith and linebacker Drue Tranquill.
