Overview

• The 11th Arts in the Dark Halloween parade lights up State Street on Oct. 18 from 6–8 p.m., presented by nonprofit LUMA8 with floats, large puppets and performances.
• Open House Chicago returns Oct. 18–19 as a free festival from the Chicago Architecture Center, opening interiors of 200-plus culturally significant sites citywide.
• SAUCED Night Market runs Friday and Saturday evenings at Half Acre Beer Co., a free event featuring more than 50 local vendors, DJs, craft beer and food.
• Brandy and Monica perform at the United Center on Oct. 18 with guests Kelly Rowland, Muni Long and Jamal Roberts, while Lainey Wilson brings her Whirlwind tour to Allstate Arena on Oct. 17.
• The Chicago International Film Festival continues through Oct. 26, with an Oct. 24 tribute presenting Spike Lee a Lifetime Achievement Award and Adam Sandler also featured on the festival lineup.
