Overview

  • The Klairmont Kollections Automotive Museum will open for a two-day public preview on September 13-14 with general admission tickets funding the Larry’s Legacy Foundation.
  • Mecum Auctions will conduct a no-reserve sale from September 19-21 featuring around 295 collector vehicles and more than 1,000 pieces of road art.
  • The auction’s no-reserve format guarantees the complete liquidation of the museum’s eclectic collection without minimum bids.
  • Highlights of the exhibit include two versions of the Batmobile, the Golden Sahara II custom car as well as a 2002 Lincoln Continental Concept powered by an Aston Martin V12.
  • Following the sale, the 100,000-square-foot Chicago gallery will close permanently, ending the Midwest’s largest public display of historic automobiles.
