Overview
- The 55th Chicago Pride Parade will step off at 11 a.m. Sunday and follows a roughly two-mile route from Sheridan/Broadway south on Broadway and Halsted, east on Belmont, back to Broadway, then south to Diversey and Cannon Drive.
- Organizers say staging and closures begin early Sunday with participant staging as early as 7:30–8:30 a.m., parking restrictions posted from about 2 a.m., and streets expected to reopen by mid-afternoon when conditions allow.
- Spectators can watch from designated viewing areas starting near Grace and Broadway and cross the route only at marked locations including Addison & Halsted, Cornelia & Halsted, Buckingham & Halsted, Briar & Broadway, and Wellington & Broadway.
- Safety rules ban alcohol, drones without FAA waivers, scooters, coolers, tents, tripods and weapons; cooling buses will be available along the route and towing will be enforced for posted no‑parking zones.
- Public transit is recommended with heavy crowding expected on the Red and Brown lines, several bus routes rerouted, Sheridan station not ADA accessible, and local TV partners streaming the parade live while organizers feature community grand marshals and roughly 150 floats and performances.
