Overview
- The most recent attack occurred Dec. 4 around 11 a.m. on the 6400 block of South Drexel Avenue, with earlier incidents on Oct. 3 and Oct. 17 on the 6400 block of South Ingleside Avenue.
- In each case, victims met a man through a dating app, were led into an apartment, threatened at gunpoint, sexually assaulted, had property taken, and had money moved from their accounts using their phones.
- CPD advises residents to stay alert, report suspicious activity, preserve surveillance video, and call 911 rather than confront a fleeing assailant.
- The suspect is described as a Black man about 28 to 33 years old, 6'0" to 6'3" tall, roughly 150 to 250 pounds, with a light complexion and short hair.
