  • Police say the man shot a 23-year-old inside a residence, then fired toward pursuing officers during a foot chase before being shot.
  • The woman suffered two gunshot wounds to the right arm and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center in good condition.
  • The suspect was transported to the same hospital in serious condition and remains in custody; investigators recovered a firearm at the scene.
