Overview

• In the 8100 block of S. Halsted Street, a northbound white SUV struck a 22-year-old woman early Saturday, then left the scene without stopping.
• The victim suffered a shoulder injury and body lacerations and was hospitalized in fair condition at Christ Hospital.
• No suspects have been apprehended in connection with the crash, and detectives from the CPD Major Accidents Unit are leading the investigation.
• Officers are also pursuing leads in a separate fatal hit-and-run on August 3 in Auburn Park, where a dark-colored SUV killed a 31-year-old pedestrian.
