Overview
- Multiple incidents were reported Oct. 10 between about 2:14 a.m. and 3 a.m. in the 2000 block of West Lunt Avenue, including a bathroom attack after an intruder pried open a basement window; the victim fought him off and he fled.
- About an hour earlier in nearby Evanston, a woman reported a similar attempted criminal sexual assault by a man with a matching description, and investigators are examining a possible link.
- Police described the suspect as a Hispanic male, 19 to 25 years old, thin, approximately 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-7, with medium-length curly hair.
- He was seen wearing a black hoodie with “USMC” in gold lettering on the back, light-colored pants, and a light-colored hoodie tied around his waist; officers also released surveillance images.
