Police say the River North robbers remain unidentified with tips sought to aid the investigation.

Overview

  • On July 14, Chicago police issued community alert #P25-3-033 for a series of early-morning holdups in the River North area
  • Officials describe one to three male African American suspects aged 20 to 40 believed to be responsible and still at large
  • Four separate incidents occurred on June 16, June 22, June 28 and July 6 at blocks of North Wabash, North Dearborn and North State
  • In each case, the offenders befriended intoxicated patrons as bars and restaurants were closing before forcibly taking property and beating victims
