Overview

  • Three incidents of spray-painted swastikas and “ICE RULES” occurred between midnight and 3 a.m. on July 19 and July 20 at buildings on the 2700 block of West Cermak Road and the 2500 block of South Central Park Avenue.
  • Chicago police released surveillance images and described the suspect as a white male aged 25 to 35, standing 5 ft. 8 in. to 5 ft. 10 in. tall, weighing 165–180 lbs., with short black hair, long sideburns and a black T-shirt featuring four square logos.

  • Latinos Progresando and other immigrant support organizations explicitly condemned the hate-motivated vandalism and affirmed their commitment to continued legal and social services.
