Overview

• Three men were wounded just after 10 p.m. Saturday in a drive-by shooting on North California Avenue near the Puerto Rican Festival gates, and all remain hospitalized in fair condition with no arrests made
• A 17-year-old boy was fatally shot around 4 a.m. Sunday on a Grand Crossing sidewalk when an unknown car pulled up and someone inside fired multiple rounds
• At 10:40 p.m. Saturday an SUV struck a sedan and two parked cars on North Western Avenue in Humboldt Park, critically injuring a 9-year-old girl and bruising two others; the 34-year-old SUV driver was arrested and issued nine citations
• Chicago police reported at least five other shootings overnight across the city, including wounds in Roseland, Portage Park, Hermosa and Woodlawn
• Area detectives are probing the drive-by and fatal shooting while the Major Accidents Unit investigates the crash, with charges pending in the collision case
