Overview
- Terry Marquis, 21, faces four counts of armed robbery with a firearm, one count of aggravated armed kidnapping, one count of aggravated battery, and an issuance of a warrant.
- Police link the charged offenses to four incidents within about 25 minutes on Nov. 19 at 1700 N. Keeler, 4100 W. 26th St., 2800 S. Komensky, and 2700 S. St. Louis.
- In the kidnapping, a 34-year-old man was forced into a vehicle at gunpoint, driven to multiple ATMs, and had cash withdrawn using his phone at one location before the offenders fled.
- Investigators say the Citywide Robbery Task Force identified Marquis through victim information and digital forensic evidence, and he was arrested Dec. 4 with assistance from the 11th District tactical team and the Illinois Department of Corrections.
- CPD continues to seek additional offenders and urges anonymous tips via CPDTip.com, and one outlet reports Marquis was paroled in mid-August on a prior case, a detail not yet corroborated by multiple sources.
