  • Charles Green, a 44-year-old convicted felon, has been charged with two counts of murder and aggravated arson and remains in custody after accelerants were found on his clothing.
  • Over 50 volunteers joined Ald. Jim Gardiner in tying red ribbons along a three-mile stretch of North Milwaukee Avenue to honor Meyer and support his family.
  • Pink ribbons were placed outside Malec & Sons Funeral Home at the request of Meyer’s family, in recognition of his granddaughter’s favorite color.
  • Public visitation is scheduled today from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Malec & Sons Funeral Home, with funeral services to be held tomorrow at Saint John Brebeuf Church in Niles.
