Chicago McDonald's Employees Injured in Hatchet Attack Over Free Food Demand

Three workers hospitalized after a man attacked them with a hatchet-like weapon when denied free food at a South Side McDonald's.

The attack occurred at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday at a McDonald's on South Western Avenue.
An 18-year-old man and two 45-year-old women were injured, with one woman in serious condition.
The suspect was arrested later at a nearby bus terminal after returning to the scene.
McDonald's has expressed deep concern for the victims and emphasized employee and customer safety.
The incident follows another fast-food controversy involving blood found on food at a Burger King in New York.
