Overview

• Chicago police charged 36-year-old Law Davison with home invasion with a firearm, home invasion with a sex offense, two counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault with a firearm, and felon in possession of a weapon.
• Investigators say the break-in occurred around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday in the 2800 block of North Milwaukee Avenue in the Avondale area.
• Police report the 38-year-old victim was sexually assaulted and had personal items taken before the assailant fled.
• The victim was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital, where she was listed in fair condition.
• Area Five detectives took Davison into custody around 8:01 a.m. Thursday in the 400 block of West 77th Street, and the case remains under investigation.
