Overview

• Police report more than 50 people shot and seven killed since Friday across multiple neighborhoods, with minors among the victims.
• Early Monday, five people were shot near Ellis Park on Cottage Grove; a 17-year-old boy is in critical condition, four firearms were recovered, and detectives are questioning a person of interest.
• Late Saturday, seven people were wounded in a drive-by on the 3500 block of South State Street in Bronzeville, and about two hours later at least four were shot in a drive-by on West Haddon Avenue in Humboldt Park.
