Chicago Jury Awards $79.8 Million to Family of Girl Killed in 2020 Police Chase

The city of Chicago admitted liability for the crash shortly before the trial but contested the amount of damages requested by the family.
The family’s attorneys argued for over $140 million in damages, while city lawyers suggested a range of $12 to $15 million.
