Overview

  • Eight shootings across Chicago from Thursday evening to early Friday wounded nine people and killed a 32-year-old man in Englewood.
  • Authorities detained a person of interest at a Near North Side police station after an 18-year-old man was shot on West Hobbie Street.
  • Three gunmen opened fire on the Near West Side around 2:30 a.m. Saturday, killing two people and wounding another.
  • A 26-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed in a hit-and-run on Lake Shore Drive in Lakeview shortly before dawn Saturday.
