Overview
- Chicago police say three males used a stun gun at 6:30 a.m. on June 12 in Oakland to forcibly take a woman’s vehicle after demanding her keys
- The suspects carried out four additional stun gun armed robberies with the stolen car, ending at 7:10 a.m. when they crashed in Riverdale
- The Chicago Police Department’s Helicopter Unit tracked the stolen vehicle to Riverdale, where SWAT and 5th District officers arrested the teens as they fled into a nearby home
- Each teen—a 13-year-old, a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old—is charged with aggravated vehicular hijacking, armed robbery with a firearm, robbery with another weapon, attempted armed robbery and aggravated battery
