• Nintendo announced on August 13 via X that Chibi-Robo will be added to the Nintendo Classics app on Switch 2 on August 21.
• The release makes it the fifth GameCube title available on Switch 2, following F-Zero GX, The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, SoulCalibur 2 and Super Mario Strikers.
• Playing Chibi-Robo requires a Nintendo Switch 2 console and an active Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack subscription.
• Original GameCube copies have become scarce collectors’ items, often selling for up to $250, spurring demand for a digital reissue.
• Nintendo has promised more GameCube-era titles such as Super Mario Sunshine, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance, Luigi’s Mansion, Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness and Pokémon Colosseum without setting release dates.
