Chhattisgarh Sets Rs 3,100 Paddy Procurement From November 15 With Tokens and Biometric Checks

A cabinet-approved, timebound plan ties e-KYC, biometric verification and app-based tokens to curb diversion and speed payments to farmers.

Overview

  • Purchases will run from November 15, 2025 to January 31, 2026 at a cap of 21 quintals per acre for registered farmers.
  • Farmer registration with e-KYC on the Agristack portal is mandatory and open until October 31, with biometric verification at procurement points.
  • The ‘Tuhar Hath’ mobile app will issue sale tokens to manage queues and scheduling at 2,739 designated centres.
  • An Integrated Command and Control Center at the Markfed office, district control rooms and special checking teams will monitor flows, with physical verification and Rs 5 per quintal incentives for centres maintaining zero dryness.
  • Payments are slated within six to seven days, a digital crop survey has covered 23 lakh hectares with data shared in 20,000 Gram Sabhas, a 73 lakh metric tonne central-pool target is set, and opposition leaders have urged an earlier start and a higher effective rate.
