Chevrolet's 2024 Blazer EV Hits Dealerships with Variety of Options

Despite its strengths, the Blazer EV's higher price compared to competitors could be a potential drawback

  • Chevrolet's 2024 Blazer EV, the brand's first Ultium-based EV, is now hitting dealerships, offering a variety of trim levels, powertrains, paint colors, safety technology and comfort and convenience features in more combinations than the average EV.
  • The Blazer EV is one of the few vehicles to be offered with all three options for drivetrain: front-wheel, rear-wheel, and all-wheel drive configurations, each with a different arrangement of three different-sized electric motors, and two battery configurations, either 85kWh or 102kWh.
  • The Blazer EV comes with an 11.5-kW onboard AC charging module for at-home charging and public charging, and has a high-speed DC public fast charging capability of up to 190 kW, recharging 78 miles of all-electric range in about 10 minutes.
  • The Blazer EV's cabin is spacious with a large trunk for cargo, and the rear seats can easily fit a 6-foot person behind another 6-foot person in front. Three child or booster seats could fit in the second row as well.
  • Despite its strengths, the Blazer EV's price is a potential drawback. The cheapest Blazer EV currently available is the eAWD LT at $57,710, significantly higher than competitors like the Ford Mustang Mach-E and Tesla Model Y, which start at $44,295 and $43,990 respectively.
