Overview
- A video posted by Chet Hanks shows him approaching Eric André at ComplexCon in Los Angeles, grabbing André’s shoulder and engaging in a tense face-to-face exchange that circulated widely online.
- Eric André was escorted away by security during the encounter and was heard shouting a reference to Tom Hanks as he left the scene.
- In his social-media caption Hanks said André had “NO MEMORY WHATSOEVER” of criticizing him to the media and accused André of confronting him over a past Jamaican-accent bit.
- The confrontation traces back to a 2023 appearance by Hanks on The Eric André Show, when André said Hanks behaved dangerously on set and Hanks disputed that characterization.
- There are no reports of formal statements or legal action from either man so far and the incident remains a personal feud driven by video and social-media framing rather than by outside investigation.
