- Chester Zoo launched the £10 afternoon ticket in early June as a month-long promotion available every day in June, including weekends.
- The offer grants entry from 2pm, giving visitors roughly three hours to explore the zoo’s 130-acre site that houses more than 500 species.
- Tickets must be bought online by 4pm on the day of the visit or can be booked online the day before to secure the afternoon entry slot.
- On June 12 the zoo will stage its 21st Dreamnight, a free out-of-hours evening for 150 families nominated by local care organisations and run by staff and volunteers.
- The zoo says the cheaper, shorter-visit option is designed to help families with young children and those facing cost pressures see wildlife and connect with the zoo’s conservation work.
