Overview

  • CherryTree repurposed an RTX 2070 Super card shell to house an Asus NUC13 Pro board powered by a 12-core, 16-thread Core i7-1360P processor.
  • It leverages integrated Iris Xe graphics alongside 64 GB of DDR4-3200 memory and a 2 TB PCIe 3.0 SSD to run legacy titles such as Doom and Quantum Break without issues.
  • The original card’s triple-fan cooler remains to manage thermals and a converted barrel-jack power connector enables external power delivery with peaks at 87 W.
  • The mini-PC installs into a standard PCIe expansion slot while still exposing HDMI 2.1, Thunderbolt 4, USB 3.2, USB 2.0 and 2.5 GbE ports.
  • Gamers Nexus and other tech outlets have showcased the one-off build’s ingenuity and performance trade-offs, confirming it is not destined for sale.
