  • On June 10 at about 5 pm four masked men armed with hammers and metal bars forced their way into Shree Ganesh Jewellers on Gympie Road, pushing past a customer and her children
  • Owner Bijaya Sunar was struck multiple times in the head, suffered a brain haematoma and underwent emergency surgery before being admitted to intensive care in stable condition
  • Queensland Police report the robbers smashed display cabinets to seize a significant amount of traditional Indian and Nepalese jewellery
  • The offenders fled in a stolen grey Honda CR-V from Calamvale and remain at large with no arrests made as investigations continue
  • Queensland Police and Crime Stoppers are urging anyone with CCTV footage or information about the perpetrators to come forward
