Overview
- Officers were called at 10:31am on January 9 to an address off the B3046 over welfare concerns and found Gilly Livie with serious injuries; a post-mortem confirmed a fatal stab wound to her neck.
- A 39-year-old man known to Ms Livie was found with neck and leg wounds initially described as life-threatening and remains in hospital in a stable condition.
- Detectives are appealing for residents to check CCTV covering 11pm on January 8 to 11am on January 9 and to submit footage or information quoting reference 44260012077.
- A police cordon remains at the property as officers continue on-scene enquiries and maintain a visible presence in the area.
- Hampshire Constabulary is not seeking any other third party, and the force said a referral about prior police contact was made to the IOPC and returned for local investigation.
