Chase Removes Sapphire Lounges from Priority Pass Network

Chase says the change is meant to cut crowding and preserve the lounge experience for its premium cardholders.

Overview

  • Chase announced Friday that, effective Aug. 15, 2026, its Sapphire Lounge locations will no longer participate in the Priority Pass or LoungeKey networks.
  • Eligible Chase cardholders, including Sapphire Reserve, Sapphire Reserve for Business, J.P. Morgan Reserve and Ritz‑Carlton cardholders, will keep unlimited complimentary access and the existing Priority Pass Select enrollment.
  • Priority Pass and LoungeKey members will lose the one annual complimentary Sapphire visit and the previously offered discounted paid-entry option, which had been reported as a $75 fee for extra visits.
  • Chase confirmed its guest policy is unchanged: eligible cardholders may bring up to two complimentary guests, children under 2 enter free, and additional guests remain $27 each.
  • The move follows lounge growth run with Airport Dimensions and reflects a broader issuer trend to tighten third-party access, a shift that could reduce crowding for cardholders and increase the value of holding a premium Chase card.
