Chase Loosens Sapphire Reserve Hotel Credits for 2026, Adds One-Time $250 Brand Offer

Chase casts the move as a quick, feedback-driven refinement to its summer relaunch.

Overview

  • Effective Jan. 1, 2026, the two $250 Edit credits can be used at any time as up to $250 per qualifying prepaid two-night booking, up to $500 total each year.
  • A separate one-time $250 statement credit in 2026 applies to prepaid two-night stays booked via Chase Travel at seven brands including IHG, Montage, Pendry, Omni, Virgin, Minor and Pan Pacific.
  • All hotel credits require a minimum two-night prepaid stay, and they can be stacked with each other and with the card’s $300 annual travel credit on the same reservation.
  • Chase says eligible Chase Travel bookings at the select partner brands will earn both Ultimate Rewards points and the hotels’ own loyalty points and status credit.
  • The changes apply to both Sapphire Reserve and Sapphire Reserve for Business and were announced the day before American Express’s Platinum refresh.
