Overview
- The Las Vegas race, which took place Sunday, saw Chase Briscoe lead a race-high 175 laps, sweep all three stages and secure the South Point 400 win that NASCAR made official after post-race inspection.
- NASCAR cleared the No. 19 car but issued pit-stall selection penalties to the No. 92 and No. 88 teams that do not alter Las Vegas results and will force those teams to pick later pit stalls at Charlotte.
- Kyle Larson overcame an early handling problem and a lengthy green-flag pit stop, rallied through the field to finish second, and left Las Vegas with about a 40-point cushion in the 10-race Chase standings.
- Several title contenders suffered setbacks that cost points: Denny Hamlin spun late in Stage 1 then lost power and finished 16th, and Christopher Bell battled power-steering trouble and finished 23rd.
- Team Penske showed momentum with three top-10 finishes and the series now heads to Charlotte with five Chase races remaining where single strong weekends can produce large points swings.
