Overview
- Twenty-one of the new supermarkets are in Catalonia and the Valencian Community, including 11 in Catalonia (10 in Barcelona province and 1 in El Vendrell) and 10 in the Valencian Community (7 in Valencia province and 3 in Alicante: Benidorm, El Campello and Muro de Alcoy).
- Additional openings include three in Andalusia (two in Almería and one in Castellar, Jaén) and one in Lorca in the Region of Murcia.
- By mid-July, the franchise reached 500 stores nationwide, distributed across the Valencian Community (220), Catalonia (168), Castilla-La Mancha (66), Andalusia (18), the Region of Murcia (21) and Aragón (7).
- Charter’s 2025 expansion plan calls for 35 openings, allocated by region as follows: Catalonia 18, Valencian Community 9, Castilla-La Mancha 3, Andalusia 4 and Region of Murcia 1.
- Consum targets an 8% increase in wholesale sales to Charter in 2025 to surpass €846.23 million, supported by a franchise model with no royalties and 76% of stores run by existing owners.
