Charlotte and Noah were the most popular baby names in New Brunswick in 2024, with 36 and 49 uses respectively, according to preliminary data from Service New Brunswick.
In British Columbia, Oliver and Olivia topped the list, with 216 and 172 uses respectively, overtaking Noah, which dropped to fourth place after years of dominance.
Nationally, Olivia has been among the top female baby names for over a decade, holding the top spot for 11 of the last 13 years.
Data from British Columbia highlighted a broader diversity in baby names compared to past decades, with fewer names being used more than 200 times in 2024.
