Charlie Curnow to Miss Rest of Season After Knee Surgery

Carlton overruled his desire to finish the campaign to secure his long-term fitness through full off-season rehabilitation.

The club confirmed the 28-year-old will undergo surgery that officially ends his 2025 campaign after he reported knee soreness following the loss to Hawthorn.
General manager Brad Lloyd said further consultation showed the procedure offered the best chance for Curnow to recover fully before the start of pre-season.
Curnow has battled recurring knee issues since 2019 and missed the start of this year’s campaign after a December operation.
He finished the season with 32 goals from 18 games for a Blues side now outside finals contention.
Curnow dismissed trade speculation and reaffirmed his commitment to Carlton under contract through 2029.
