• Charisma Carpenter said in a TikTok video on August 16 that she is not in the Hulu reboot’s pilot and hasn’t discussed returning as Cordelia Chase with producers.
• Production of the Buffy revival pilot began in early August in Los Angeles under the working title New Sunnydale.
• Oscar-winning director Chloé Zhao is directing the pilot with sisters Nora and Lilla Zuckerman writing, showrunning and executive producing.
• Original star Sarah Michelle Gellar is attached as a recurring lead and executive producer alongside newly cast Slayer Ryan Kiera Armstrong.
• Hulu has not yet ordered a full series following the pilot’s July 21 table read.
