Chargers Sign Veteran Safety Tony Jefferson to Active Roster

Move follows the suspension of Derwin James Jr. ahead of Sunday's game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Tony Jefferson, 32, was elevated from the practice squad to replace the suspended Derwin James Jr.
Jefferson signed with the Chargers in June and had a standout preseason performance.
The 10th-year veteran has an extensive career with 492 tackles, 9.5 sacks, and four interceptions.
Jefferson has previously played for the Cardinals, Ravens, 49ers, and Giants.
The Chargers also added offensive lineman Braeden Daniels to the practice squad.
