Overview
- The Chargers have lost key offensive linemen with Pro Bowl tackle Rashawn Slater placed on injured reserve and Joe Alt, Trevor Penning and Kayode Awosika ruled out, which could push multiple rookies or backups into starting roles on the line.
- The Broncos officially ruled out starting corners Patrick Surtain II and Riley Moss, with Jahdae Barron and rookie Kris Abrams-Draine lined up to fill the outside cornerback spots.
- Broncos head coach Sean Payton has resumed play-calling duties in an effort to jumpstart a struggling passing attack that ranks near the bottom of the league.
- The game will be played at SoFi Stadium with U.S. coverage on CBS and streaming via Paramount+ and Fubo.
- The matchup pairs an 0-4 Chargers team against a 2-2 Broncos squad, and the altered protection and coverage matchups could determine which team controls tempo and short-term division momentum.
