The cables are designed to remain flexible and user-friendly while significantly increasing the effort required to cut through them.
ChargePoint Protect, a new alarm system, detects tampering in real time and triggers loud alarms, flashing lights, and notifications to station owners and law enforcement.
The cut-resistant cables will be rolled out to ChargePoint's commercial and fleet stations, with plans to license the technology to other EV charger manufacturers by mid-2025.
